Chrysalis Leadership Studio
The Work
Every threshold is different. The inner architecture is the same. I coach the art of navigating the crossing — the space between who you were and who you're becoming.
I
Identity doesn't break all at once. It shifts — then shatters.
A role dissolves. A country changes. A career that defined you for two decades stops making sense. The public conversation focuses on skills and strategy. We focus on something the world mostly ignores: what happens inside a human being when their story about themselves stops being true.
This is the work of the threshold — the crossing between an identity that no longer holds and one that hasn't fully formed. It can't be rushed. It can't be optimized. But it can be navigated with coherence, with courage, and with grace.
We companion the crossing — the space where performance ends and presence begins.
Chrysalis Leadership Studio is an applied research studio for identity transition. Through private coaching, AI-guided reflection, immersive experiences, and writing, we help leaders stay whole when everything around them is reorganizing.

The Threshold Method™
A five-stage framework for navigating identity transition — developed over twenty years of direct coaching practice with leaders, founders, and expatriates across forty countries. It doesn't tell you where to go. It teaches you how to move through the crossing itself.
The Crack
The moment the story stops being true. A promotion that hollows rather than fills. A relocation that strips rather than stretches. Something that once held — a role, a belief, a belonging — begins to give way.
The Freefall
The old structure is gone but nothing has replaced it. This is the space of radical uncertainty — where the temptation is to rush toward a new answer. The discipline is to stay with the question.
The Noticing
A new quality of attention. Patterns emerge. You begin to see differently — not the old lens, not yet a new one, but something more honest. Attention before action. Presence before plan.
The Crossing
Living the question rather than answering it. Small acts of identity — a conversation, a practice, a commitment — begin to compose a new coherence. The new self is authored, not discovered.
The Inhabiting
Identity recomposed as a living practice. Not a fixed arrival but a way of being in motion — integrating what was lost with what has been found. Coherence, not completion.
The same architecture holds whether the threshold is a career disruption, a cross-cultural crossing, a meaning crisis, or the civilizational shift that AI is catalyzing right now. The content changes. The inner structure is remarkably consistent.
III
Who This Work Is For
The threshold takes many forms. Three archetypes recur most often in this practice — not as rigid categories, but as ways of recognizing yourself in the crossing.
Leaders in
Identity Transition
You built something real — a career, a reputation, a version of yourself that worked. Until it didn't. The title remains, but the meaning has gone quiet. Or the title was taken, and with it, the story you told about who you are.
This work is for leaders navigating career disruption, AI-driven reinvention, midlife recalibration, or the particular silence that follows external success. Not performance coaching. Presence work.
You achieved everything on the list — and found the list was someone else's.
The gap between your values and your daily actions keeps widening.
You're not stuck. You're in between stories.
Border
Crossers
You left. Or you were sent. Either way, you crossed a border and discovered that nationality was the least of what changed. Language, belonging, professional identity, the instinctive knowledge of how things work — all of it reorganized.
This work is for expatriates, global leaders, repats, and anyone navigating the identity dissolution that comes with crossing cultures. Not cultural training. Threshold navigation for who you become between worlds.
You've adapted so well that you've lost track of who you were before.
Home is a word you use but no longer feel.
You carry fluencies no one around you can see.
Legacy
Architects
The question has changed. It's no longer "How do I succeed?" — it's "What endures?" You've spent decades accumulating expertise, influence, and a body of work. Now you want to shape what it means. Not a graceful exit. A conscious composition.
This work is for seasoned professionals designing what comes after achievement — aligning success with significance, contribution with coherence. Legacy isn't what you leave behind. It's how you inhabit what remains.
You have more to give than any single role can hold.
You want to be remembered for who you were, not just what you did.
The next chapter should be authored, not inherited.
IV
How We Work Together
The Threshold Method adapts to where you are and what the crossing requires. Every format begins with the same foundation — a conversation to understand what's shifting, what's at stake, and whether this work is right for this season of your life.
Private Threshold Navigation
The core practice. One-to-one coaching over three to six months, meeting weekly or biweekly. Together we map your threshold, navigate the disorientation, and compose what's next — with structure, not pressure.
Combining philosophical depth with practical leadership development. Each session is tailored to where you are in the crossing.
Threshold Immersion
A concentrated crossing. Two or three days of deep work in Bali — away from the structures that hold the old story in place. Designed for leaders who need spaciousness, not just sessions.
Curated locations. Guided practices. The kind of attention that only becomes possible when you step outside your daily architecture.
Organizational Threshold Work
When an entire team or organization is in transition — restructuring, post-acquisition, cultural integration, or AI adoption — the threshold isn't individual. It's collective.
Workshops, facilitated sessions, and consulting for leadership teams in crossing.
