Imago ("the App") is a reflective assessment tool created by Chrysalis Leadership Studio to help individuals explore their values, identity, and future direction. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled responsibly.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data.
1. Information We Collect
The App collects data only when you voluntarily complete the assessment or save your progress, including:
- Personal reflections, narrative responses, and written prompts
- Values, identity archetypes, goals, and future directions
- Assessment selections, priorities, rankings, and choices
- Optional demographic details if you choose to provide them (e.g., age range, profession)
We do NOT collect:
- Passwords for external services
- Credit card or payment information (unless a paid version is activated)
- Biometrics or sensitive medical information
2. How Your Information Is Used
Your data is used solely to deliver your assessment experience. Specifically, we use it to:
- Generate your personalized Imago Portrait
- Save your progress so you can return to the assessment at any time
- Allow you to review or modify your results over time
- Improve the App's functionality (using anonymous, aggregated usage data)
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or resale.
3. AI Processing
Your Imago Portrait is generated using a large language model (Claude by Anthropic). When you complete the assessment:
- Your assessment responses are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your personalized report
- Your data is not used by Anthropic to train AI models
- Anthropic does not retain or store your data after processing, per their commercial API terms
4. Data Ownership & Rights
You retain full ownership and control of your assessment data. You may:
- Request a copy of your data
- Edit your inputs anytime while using the App
- Permanently delete your data at any time
When you delete your data, it is fully erased from our systems and cannot be recovered.
5. Data Storage & Security
We protect your data using a combination of:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS / TLS)
- Encrypted data storage
- Restricted database access and authentication controls
- Regular system monitoring and security updates
Data is stored on secure servers in the United States and may be processed in other regions solely for service performance (not for marketing or analytics profiling). No method of digital storage is 100% secure, but we use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information.
6. Third-Party Services
Your data is never sold, traded, or shared with third parties. Limited access is granted only to trusted service providers required to operate the App, including:
- Anthropic (AI processing): anthropic.com/privacy
- Secure cloud hosting infrastructure
These providers have no ownership rights and no permission to use your data beyond operating the service. We do not use third-party advertising services, data brokers, or tracking that profiles users.
7. Cookies & Usage Metadata
To improve app performance, we may collect non-identifiable technical data, such as browser type, device model, session time, error logs, or feature usage statistics. We do not use cookies, trackers, or analytics tools that identify you or sell behavioral data. Technical usage data is anonymous and cannot be connected to your personal assessment responses.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is designed for adults engaged in leadership, identity, and professional development. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18. If we discover such data, it will be deleted.
9. Legal Compliance
We comply with globally recognized privacy regulations including:
- GDPR (European Union)
- CCPA / CPRA (California)
- Singapore PDPA
- UK Data Protection Act
You have the legal right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the use of your personal data.

Upon request, we will confirm your identity for security purposes and process the request within the legally required time frame (typically 7–30 days).
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect improvements to our product or compliance updates. If changes are significant, users will be notified within the App. Continuing to use the App after notification indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
